Fire Retardant Fabric Disclaimer
Ben Textiles Inc - Fire Retardant Fabric Disclaimer
NFPA 701 Inherently Fire Retardant (IFR) Fabric Disclosure
Ben Textiles Inc. offers NFPA 701 Inherently Fire Retardant (IFR) fabrics designed to meet industry standards for flame resistance. NFPA 701 is the National Fire Protection Association’s standard for flame propagation of textiles and films, which evaluates a fabric’s ability to resist ignition under controlled conditions. Our fabrics are tested to comply with these standards at the time of manufacturing.
Liability Disclaimer
While our NFPA 701 IFR fabrics are designed to meet fire safety requirements, Ben Textiles Inc. does not assume liability for fire-related incidents, damages, or injuries that may occur after the purchase and use of our products. The proper use, maintenance, and compliance with local fire safety codes are the sole responsibility of the buyer.
By purchasing our NFPA 701 IFR fabrics, the customer agrees to assume all liability regarding the selection, application, and performance of the product in their intended setting.
State and Fire Marshal Approval
It is important to note that acceptance of our NFPA 701 IFR documentation is at the sole discretion of state authorities and local Fire Marshals. Each jurisdiction may have unique requirements, and additional testing may be required to meet state or municipal fire codes.
For example, California enforces stricter fire safety standards, including the California State Fire Marshal (CalFire) requirements, which mandate additional small-scale testing, such as the NFPA 701 Test Method 1 (Small Scale 19 Test), for certain applications. Buyers are responsible for ensuring compliance with all applicable regulations in their state or local jurisdiction.
Customer Responsibility
The customer is fully responsible for verifying that our NFPA 701 IFR fabrics meet the specific fire code requirements of their intended use location. Ben Textiles Inc. does not guarantee that our IFR fabrics will be accepted by all fire regulatory agencies. We strongly recommend consulting with your local Fire Marshal or relevant authorities before purchase and installation.
Once a purchase is made, the buyer assumes all risks and liabilities associated with the fabric’s performance, fire safety compliance, and approval by regulatory bodies. No refunds, exchanges, or liability claims will be accepted based on fire code non-compliance after purchase.
